Table Town is the primary setting of the series Kiff. It is the city-state where Kiff Chatterley and the show's other characters live.

Located on a mountainous island, Table Town is a sprawling city-state with a bustling metropolitan center and various surrounding natural areas, including deserts, forests, and snow-capped mountains. Often referred to as simply a city by its residents, Table Town is more accurately described as a city-state (comparable to real-life examples such as Monaco and Singapore); as confirmed in "Martin Waxed the Floors!", it is its own independent nation. As the city is spread out over mountainous terrain, tram cars and zip lines are prominent forms of public transport in Table Town.

Table Town's citizens are called Tabletonians, and the local currency is the nut. It boasts a diversity of businesses and institutions. Public institutions in Table Town include the mayoral council and specialized agencies such as the Federal Bungalow of Investigation,[2] the Department of Magical Beings,[3] the aeronautics and space agency TTASA,[4] and the Mount Table Park Service.[5] The airline Table Air, the newspaper the Table Town Tribune, the news network Table Town News, and the online services Table+ and TableToob are among the many services based in Table Town.

Notable annual events in Table Town include the Table Town Humanitarian of the Year award ceremony[6] and the Tabley awards ceremony for excellence in film,[7] both of which are held at the Table Town Auditorium. The holiday of Halfway There Day is celebrated midway through the year, on July 2nd.
The city-state's motto is the Latin phrase In mensa vivimus ("We live on the table").[1] The seal of the city-state depicts Table Town City Hall in front of a silhouette of the city skyline, positioned over a table; below the table are a king protea and two ferns. In "Hive Got an Idea", the students of Table Town Middle School are heard reciting part of the Table Town pledge of allegiance: "The four legs of the table: stability, balance, firmness, and the other one." The same phrase appears in the Table Town national anthem.

Scattered details about Table Town's past have been given throughout the series. Often mentioned in passing is the Great Rubber Boom, an event whose exact nature has never been explained, but which apparently had significant historical repercussions. Occasional references are made to the founder of Table Town, an unnamed individual who had a beard and a pointed hat.[1][8] In "Ye Olde Candy Shoppe of Horrors", Kiff Chatterley, Barry Buns, and Kristophe Buns are sent 200 years back in time to 19th-century Table Town in the industrial era.

Trivia
Production
- Table Town was visually inspired by Lucy Heavens and Nic Smal's hometown of Cape Town, South Africa, and is named after Table Mountain, which overlooks Cape Town.[20][21][22] Table Town's aerial tram system was inspired by the Table Mountain Aerial Cableway.[22] The king protea, South Africa's national flower, is depicted on the Table Town city seal, and the desert region of the island is likely based off the Kalahari Desert.
- During pre-production of the series (as seen in the unaired series pilot), Table Town was named "Kiff Town" (with the character Kiff instead being named "Donk").[23]
