Rex is an astronaut for Table Town's aeronautics and space agency, the TTASA. He works alongside his mission commander Goldie Crispo.

In "Don't Leave B Hangin'", Goldie and Rex are sent to outer space on a 50-year mission to perform experiments and rescue Slimmy P and any other "lost mascots". However, it is later suggested that the episode's events may not have actually happened.
